Web Check-In from JAL Web site

  • Now you can select your own seat from the seat map.
  • Customers who have already selected a seat can change their seating using Web Check-In Service.

Speedy check-in at airports equipped with International Self Check-in Machines (I-SCM)

  • Get your boarding pass from easy-to-use International Self Check-in Machines.
  • Leave your baggage at the designated baggage check-in counter (at airports equipped with International Self Check-in Machines).

  • Please obtain your boarding pass at least 60 minutes before the scheduled flight departure time. (First Class and Executive Class passengers should obtain their boarding passes at least 45 minutes prior to scheduled flight departure time.)
    (*This is a separate service from Domestic Flight Web Check-In Service. Passengers may not proceed directly to the security check area.)

  • *Some passengers such as those with connections may not be eligible to use International Self Check-in Machines. For more details, ask JAL staff at the airport.
  • *You must have your e-ticket customer receipt or ATB ticket (magnetic boarding pass) to obtain your boarding pass. Please keep these items with you at the airport before and after using Web Check-In Service.

Qualifying Customers

Passengers holding an e-ticket or ATB ticket (magnetic boarding pass).
* Web Check-In Service is also available for other travelers on the same reservation record.

* Web Check-In is not available for the following customers:

  • Passengers subject to seating limitations (such as passengers traveling with an infant under two years of age who is not using a seat)
  • Passengers using group tickets
  • Passengers requesting reservations for a group of 10 or more travelers
  • Passengers using a ticket purchased as part of a package, such as a travel agency tour (However, customers using JAL Goku fares may use Web Check-In Service.)
  • Passengers reserving a ticket under a fare class that does not permit advanced seat selection
  • Passengers traveling with someone who shares an identical first and last name on the same reservation record
  • Passengers whose JMB number (same as login) is not listed on the reservation record (Status may be checked with the travel agency making the reservation or through a JAL reservation center.)
  • When e-ticket data is not yet updated after the reservation has been modified.

International flights on most routes on the JAL Group network

*except for the following:
  • Flights departing from Paris, Zurich, Moscow, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Xian and Hangzhou.
  • Code-share flights operated by partner airlines

Service Availability

From three days prior to departure date (starting at 0:00 hours local time), up to one hour prior to scheduled departure time
